Prepoo and Finger Combing

Hey Everyone,
When I took down my yarn braids I followed the takedown routine that Blackonyx77 had in her hair video, except that instead on VO5 I used pantene anti breakage. Instead of using my comb to detangle I used my fingers to remove as much shed as possible before using my modified faux denman brush to detangle. When I did detangle with my denman I realized that the process was much smoother than when I did my detangling from my box braids, I believe finger combing have attributed to that. After detangling I placed my hair in medium twists all over and then I wash and deep conditioned my hair. The shampoo I used was Sheamoisture Raw Shea Butter shampoo and I used Alikay Naturals Honey Sage Deep Conditioner. After I rocked a twistout for about a week. So that's all for now just wanted to give you guys a quick update. Much love and God Bless.

Yarn Braids

Hey Everyone,
This summer has been an exciting and unpredictable but overall fun. Through this season I have learned how to add extentsions to my hair so that I'll have a protective style that lasts longer than three weeks. Some of the styles that I learned worked great for me such as box braids, kinky twists, and now yarn braids. In the past I did yarn braids but they didn't last longer then a month for various reasons, but I decided to try them again. I love the look of them and how light they are. I used the same yarn that I used before which is the Red Heart brand the material of this yarn is acrylic and the colors that I chose was black and a reddish brown for a few highlights. So far I have been getting a lot of compliments and maintenance has been easy. Since I have dry scalp I mist it with water and seal in the moisture with my oil mix. So far,So good! Enjoy the pic of my yarn braids below.Much love and God Bless!!!

Crochet Braids

Hey All ,
Last week was horrible!! I ordered my hair from Hairsisters.com and was excited about my order, but when I received my braiding bulk hair it was on a weft . It I was to cut the hair from the weft then it would have about one and a half to two inches of curl (not a good look ). So I decided to use the second style I wanted to try which was crochet braids with the water wave from outré glance. The hair is cute but just not for me. I really don't want to take this style down so soon but I really don't like it and its $12 dollars wasted . Anywho looks like I'm about to put in some small kinky twist and call it a day. Much Love and God Bless

The braid out came out fabulous, the only thing I wish was that it didn't shrink up during the day. Anywho here is the pic I took at the end of day one:

That's all for now . Much love and God Bless!!

Update

Hey Everyone ,
I know I have been missing in action yet again but if you watch my YouTube channel you'll know that I was going through some personal problems which threw me off track for awhile. Anywho a month ago I install some box braids as a protective style for a while and I used Outré Glance Grammy wave synthetic braiding hair. I'm not in love with this hair but since this was my first time braiding my own hair I didn't want to buy human hair at the time. This hair is ok it does get tangle and the ends begin to look rough after a few weeks, but it's not human hair so what can you expect. I have since cut it because it was too long for me and the ends needed to be cut to look good. I did a video to show you guys how it looked at first and I'll do an updated video soon, but for now here are some pics...ok I deleted the pics so I embedded the video..my bad. Much love and Many Blessings.

Hey All ,
I came by today to show you guys how I refresh my chunky twist out at night. First I moisturize my hair and oil my scalp with castor oil. Next I grab medium section of four twist and twist them together, and add some more moisturizer to the ends.

After I'm all done twisting my hair , I rub coconut oil all over and focusing especially on my ends. Then I put on my satin cap and call it a night . Much love and God Bless.

Wash n Go

Hey All,
This morning I decided to do a wash n go due to the fact my hair was looking horrible and I was pressed for time. I co-wash with Vo5 moisture milk strawberries and creme conditioner rake a comb through it and rinsed. Once I got out of the shower I shook the water out of my hair and sprayed some Alikay Naturals lemongrass conditioner and sealed with coconut oil. I then shook it out a again. It turned out really well. The picture below is my hair without any product and the last one is the finished product . Much love and God bless. Ttyl
